Conscious Leadership

Becoming Whole in an Interdependent World.

As a commitment to conscious evolution, Bhavana Learning Group will facilitate a Learning Dialogue to explore the concept and practice of Conscious Leadership as outlined in the book: The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership.

1 – STUDY: During our 16 weeks of study, we will explore the 15 Commitments and practices that develop Conscious Leadership.

2 – PRACTICE: Each week presents a 1-hour-teaching and dialogue to study a framework or commitment in our lives.

3 – COMMUNITY: We will explore 16 teachings in an online community (via zoom platform) and share discoveries on Slack between sessions.

  • Coaches: Each of the 15 Commitments offers a structure to support distinctions for increasing accountability, performance, personal mastery, and expanding relatedness.

  • Educators: The Learning framework and 15 Commitments create mutual understanding and shared language for distributing authority and leadership, and cultivating the accountability and principles for a learning organization.

  • Executives/Entrepreneurs: The Learning framework and 15 Commitments expand personal mastery, accountability, and relatedness to encourage power-sharing.

Our Learning Dialogue will unfold over 17 weeks in two modules.

Conscious Leadership

Lotus & Mud

Developed by scholar and peace activist, Thich Nhat Hanh, and title of one of his books, No Mud, No Lotus, this image strikes at the heart of increasing consciousness.

The lotus does not grow without the nutrient-rich mud. The lotus is beautiful and fragrant, the mud is smelly, messy, and “ugly” — and quite necessary.
