Ethics & AI in Human Coaching

How prepared are you to make ethical decisions about AI in your practice?

As artificial intelligence becomes more integrated into coaching practice, practitioners are facing increasingly complex questions about privacy, transparency, consent, and client safety.

In this Insight Commons, speaker, author, and leadership coach Ruth Pearce invites participants into a real-life ethical scenario involving the use of AI in coaching. Rather than offering easy answers, Ruth will offer a real-life scenario to listen closely, ask probing questions, and share your thoughts on the best way forward.

Participants will explore how ethical codes can guide the use of AI, how technology may enhance the client experience without compromising safety, and what practitioners must consider to protect the client, the practitioner, and the profession.

Presenter:

Ruth Pearce, JD, PCC, is a Guardian ad Litem in North Carolina incompetency proceedings, where consent, capacity, and confidentiality aren’t abstractions — they’re decided on the record, about a real person, with real consequences. She is also a coach and the author of two books and five LinkedIn Learning courses. She brings a lawyer’s habits to ethical questions: read the rule, name who carries the risk, decide before the pressure arrives.
