Welcome to my page: As an operations officer and leader in the U. S. Army, I experienced the impact listening and leading had on individual performance. A commitment to Listening allows us to tap into our own authentic “genius.” I bring this commitment into my life, and to my work.


Neil is currently the Chief Practice Officer at Bhavana Learning Group and bring mindfulness teachings to our clients and community. He also manages client services, our media presence and publishes our Weekly Wisdom Digest with research and practices to serve our learning community. He also ensures quality control of the firm’s IP (intellectual property).

As a trained mindfulness teacher, Neil’s leads Bhavana Learning Group’s weekly Practice Field for clients to practice in community. He also works with beginners to establish a consistent mindfulness daily practice.


Neil graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2007 with a B. S. in Human Geography. He completed 5-years of military service as an Army Air Defense Captain, with a 2012 tour of duty in the Republic of South Korea. After his return, Neil leveraged his military experience to work in the field of leadership development through training, studies, and practices in transformative learning and leadership.

In 2014, Neil joined Bhavana Learning Group as program supervisor to deliver an executive leadership course at Rutgers University, Business School in Newark. Based on research and designs from our own “contemplative learning” methods and practices, the course provided students with a laboratory to develop their own leadership profile. Neil works with learners to integrate our innovative content, research, and practices into a sustainable leadership practice.

Neil has also studied and trained to deliver the practice of mindfulness to individuals and groups. Since 2017, he has practiced mindfulness and studied the Eastern wisdom and Buddhist psychology that underlies our contemplative learning and meditation. A Buddhist practitioner and mindfulness teacher, Neil is of Ecuadorian descent and also speaks fluent Spanish. He also enjoys running and ran the 2015 NYC marathon.
